Use Your Ink to Watercolor

Sunday, January 22, 2017
Hi crafters! Today I am going to show you how easy it is get a nice watercolor look using the Dare 2B Artzy premium inks. I will be using my Dream Catcher stamps set along with the matching dies to make my card.

First, I took waterbrush pen from Derwent along with inks from the Tropical and Festive cube sets  to watercolor with.  I stamped 4 of the feathers from the stamp set and stamped them onto watercolor paper.  Once I was done I then used the matching dies and diecut each of the feathers out.

If you want to add some color to your background paper you can spritz some water onto your paper and use your waterbrush to create a watercolor looking background even.  Just push the water out as you touch the tip directly to you watercolor paper and watch the ink float along the paper.

I hope everyone enjoyed my post and be sure to come back and see all the amazing creations for 2017 from the Dare 2B Artzy team and don't forget their challenges!!to see more tutorials and videos be sure to visit my blog: Simply Monica thanks for having me!

Thank You Card

Saturday, January 21, 2017
Hi crafters! it's time for my Saturday Tutti Designs blog post. My card today features The Tutti: Stitched Nesting Rectangles and Word Set - Thanks.

I used a stamp set from Altnew and stamped a flower in Versacolor Canary ink and then overlayed the flower using Versafine Imperial Purple ink.  Once I was done I used Stitched Nesting Rectangles and diecut the flowers.

For my sentiment I used Word Set - Thanks using purple paper to match the colors in the flower.

I hope everyone enjoyed my post for today and have an awesome weekend and be sure to take a peek at all the inspiration spots Tutti Designs has to offer: (never know when there will be a giveaway)

Elegant Valentine Card

Saturday, January 14, 2017

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a card which features the following Tutti Designs Dies: Nesting Stitched Rectangles, Word Set - Hugs,  and finally Garden Background .  My goal was to make an Valentine card perfect for an adult or for a kid!  Hopefully I achieve my goal.

I used some Classic Pearl Linen paper from CutCardStock which really makes the card look elegant.  You can see the shimmer.  I then took Garden Background for the main card front and used one of the Nesting Stitched  Rectangles to lay a diecut sticker to the front.  I then placed the Word Set - Hugs die for the sentiment perfect for the occasion right?!!

I hope everyone has enjoyed my post for the day and don't forget to visit all the Tutti Designs links which are listed below:

Budget Bathroom Ideas

Wednesday, January 11, 2017
Hi everyone! Monica here with a easy fun bathroom storage idea using  products from Deflecto Crafts perfect for a Princess!
My friend has a daughter who is in love with pink and purple and recently started redecorating her bathroom.  So I wanted to think of something nifty and cost effective so I used I used the Stackable Cube Organizer "X" Divider : Item Number: 350201CR and the Interlocking Stacking Tower Organizer 3 Canister :Item Number: 20101CR to make a decorative rag holder and then I used the canister to store cotton balls, makeup sponges and the cloths.  I wanted to put some Q-Tips in them, but I sort of ran out of them.  Once I get some I am actually going to switch it out.
I covered them using patterned paper from Canvas Corp Brands the hot pink zebra print was absolutely perfect!  I used my Xyron Creative Station to adhere the paper to the sides and  I then cut some strips to cover sections of the canister (which does not interfere with opening or closing the canisters.  After I popped on a hot pink button to finish it off.  I think I am going to make a neat decorative piece using the same concept for an adult bathroom.  Oh then to make it super cute and girly I added a handle just like it was a purse ha!

I hope everyone enjoyed my post for the day and thanks so much for stopping by

Gold Foil Sentiments

Hopefully everyone survived the holidays and welcome 2017.  I am hoping this is going to be an amazing year with new beginnings and positive changes.  I am looking forward to having a great year of crafting.

I created this card using the new Best Wishes sentiment and stitched tag die.  I first stamped my image and then used the tag to diecut the colored image out.  I used gold foil paper for my sentimetn so that it would really stand out.
The image is colored with Zig Clean Color pens and Gansai watercolors. I hope everyone has enjoyed my post for the New Year and be sure to come back
