Hi crafters!  Today I am sharing a project I made for the September issue of Scrap n' Art Online Magazine using sponsor products form Canvas Corp!  The complete supply list is listed below for your convenience.  I took a wood frame with chicken wire and altered it with 7 Gypsies "Harmony" papers.  I took burlap and lined the outer frame with it as well as in the inner part of the frame.  I made the flower shown with memory Keepers flower die.

I hope everyone has enjoyed my post for today and thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Journals

Friday, November 20, 2015
Hi crafters! Today I am here sharing some gift ideas for Christmas.  This year I thought I would do something different with my niece and nephew and made them some Christmas journal books.  From December 1st until Christmas Eve they will have to write in these journals their dreams and wishes for Christmas.  Then I will have them each share their wishes and thoughts on Christmas Eve with everyone.

So I found some perfect books I could use and covered them with  CutCardStock: Classic Crest: Solar Whiteand Stardream Metallic:Fairway.  For the sentiment I used  Bright Foil Cardstock and  Classic Crest: Solar White.  Everything is pieced together with Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose glue.

I then used my CutCardStock in Royal Sundance:  Emerald Green

I used a die from Spellbinders in the shape of a Christmas tree and used Stardream Metallic:Fairway.  I just love how nice and thick this paper is and it ran through my Spellbinders Grand Calibur with such ease and it cut all the intricate pieces with just one pass.  That goes to show the true quality of the paper.

Now just glue it to the front of your covers as shown below

Now you have some journal books with memories that will last a lifetime!

Chameleon - Thinking About You

Monday, November 16, 2015
Hi crafters! I want to share a card I made using Chameleon Pens and CutCardStock  I wanted to make a card for a friend who is down in the dumps so for some reason I thought this image was great.  She is smelling the flowers as a reminder to stop and smell the roses.  Even though times seem hard don't forget to be grateful for what you do have because believe me it can be so much worse!

Chameleons: RD4, BK4, YO3, YL2, YG3, NU1, NU3and BR5.
For her hair I used BR5 without any infusing I just colored straight from the pen itself,  For her skin I used NU1 with an infuse time of 9 sec and then I took NU3 and outlined the areas I wanted to have more shadows without any infusing.  For her neck area I used NU3 and infused for 6 secs to give it more shadow.

Her dress I used BK4 and infused for 10 secs and I must say I hate coloring with black pens because you really have to know what your doing but it is so easy to color with a Chameleon Pen in black because it infuses for your and you don't have to figure out how to make something look black (if I am making sense lol) you simply infuse and you get a perfect blend I simply love love it!  Make smy life so much more easier!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great holiday!

Illuminated Vertigo Lightbox

Hi crafters!  Today I am sharing my 2nd round project for Imagine Crafts Design Team Call.  I have chosen to make a votive night light which will be a Christmas gift for my friends.  This is a project that is fairly easy to make it just takes a little patience and time.
Supplies Needed

Imagine Crafts: Vertigo "Pebbles", Fabrico Markers "Pea Pod", "Poppy Red" All Purpose Ink "White"; Other: Photo Cube; Paper: The Paper Loft "Embossed Metallic Silver Linen Weave"; Tools: Westcott "Self Healing Mat", "Ruler", "Scissors"

Step 1:
Find the image you will be using as the screen for each opening.  I chose a rose.  I then ran the Vertigo through my printer and it printed beautifully.  You need to allow the ink to dry on the Vertigo before you color so there is no smearing. You want to turn the image over and color on the backside.  This allows the ink to have a really deep coloring and prevents smearing as well.

Step 2:
You will cut each panel 3x3 and the Vertigo allows the light to shine through and illuminate the colored image so beautifully.  It is hard to truly capture the effect with all the additional lighting.

Step 4:
Paint the wood with your All Purpose Ink in chosen color.  I used white to match the Vertigo and really make the light box sort of look brighter if that makes sense lol.

Step 5:
Run the paper through your embossing machine and then take each sheet and lay it over each panel this aids in determining the size needed for each panel and how I measured how large the center cut would be.

Once complete piece everything together - add a votive light as shown and you have a perfect night light.  As I said the shimmery of the Vertigo illuminates.

Put your light source down inside.  I think I am going to get an LED light to truly make it illuminate!

See how the Vertigo really shines and the Fabric pens really color well on the sheets!

I hope everyone has enjoyed my 2nd Round project and hopefully will be making a Illuminated Vertigo Lightbox!

The last vestiges of autumn has left now as winter begins to take a hold, but we can still savour the beautiful colors of the season with this lovely card by Monica.
The stamp is from the Botanical Bookplates set from Flourishes along with dies from Mama Elephant.
To color this piece Monica used Chameleon pens: OL3, OR4 and BR2 as shown below.

First stamp the images onto card.
Infuse the orange pen for 5 seconds.
Color the petals of the flowers.
Then infuse the Olive Green pen for 10 seconds and color the leaves.
Finally color the centres of the flowers with Hot Cocoa and then mount onto the card.
For more detailed pictures please stop her blog here: and thanks so much for stopping by!
