Family Canvas

Tuesday, May 31, 2016
Hi crafters!  How was everyone's Memorial Day?!! Beautiful I hope nothing more important than remembering those who fought to give us what we have today!!  Today I am doing something totally different and I made a stamped canvas piece using Altenew's  Peony Bouquet and it is colored using Tim Holtz Distress inks and reinkers.  If your using the reinkers I use the Tim Holtz ink palette to add all the color varieties.
I painted my 5x7 canvas with the Tim Holtz collage medium in matte to give it a nice even coverage sometimes the canvases you buy has areas that are not covered well.  I then stamped my gorgeous flowers using Memento Tuxed0 black ink  on my Apple Pie Memories stamping blocks to put the stamp and all of us stampers now a block is a must have right?!!
mixed media
To do the painting I used  Ranger Artist Brushes and also I used some Derwent Watercolor Brush Fine Tip watercolor brushes to get everything all blended together. 2016-05-30
I hope everyone has enjoyed my canvas piece and be sure to check out all the new goodies in store!

I used some Ranger Mixed Media cardstock to make the card base and MISTI Laser Etched Stamp tool to actually stamp the image.  If your like me some times you don't a clean crisp stamp so you may need to stamp the image again to get a nice dark image and the MISTI is the tool to have.  For a nice strong adhesive I used Crafter Companion Double Sided Adhesive.
How to stamp
For the image I stamped her on Ranger Distress Watercolor cardstock with Lawn Fawn Fawndemental Black Licorice. A perfect card for a birthday or just to drop a quick note to a friend to say hello!

Hi everyone! I am back sharing another Bible Journal page.  I never thought it would be something for me, but at the moment I am going through a personal change and  all the phrases and meanings behind Bible Journaling itself has proven to be uplifting. So here is my page which features the Ignite bible journaling set form Joy Clair.
The meaning behind my page is it is time to Ignite some changes in my life and what I did was highlight particular phrases that mean something and put key words that will make me remember the meaning behind the whole page.
For those who have not tried Bible Journaling you really need to give it a shot.  Joy Clair has their own Bible Journaling group on FB with amazing ideas and it is a great place to chat and get a better understanding on what it truly is about.  I hope everyone has enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by!
Also, I want to share a card that I made using our Oh Baby stamp set that I did not get to really share earlier.  It is colored with copics and I made a layered card by angling the different papers and decided to sew along some of the edges for a different look.

I found this cute gift box in a thrift store and thought it would be a perfect gift item for a friend of mine who loves to collect boxes.  The front was perfectly decorate and all it needed was a touch of Imagine Crafts items to bring out its true beauty.  So I went for a marbelized look using irRESISTible from Imagine Crafts.

Butterfly Tangle Cre8time
Hi crafters! Monica here with a new twist on how to get the most use out of your stamps by using them in a fun creative way.  I took the Butterfly Tangle stamp and used the flower stamp to make a butterfly  with it versus using the actual butterfly stamp in the set.
How to make a Card
Step 1. Stamp your image onto some watercolor paper.  Then use your Kuretake watercolors and color in the stamped image as desired.  I used some red's and blue's since Fourth of July is fast approaching.
Step 2.  Take your Butterfly die and die cut each of the petals.  I then cut the top of the flower out as shown in the 2nd photo above.  I then added a button center piece for the body of the butterfly shown in the photo below.

Finally I pieced it all together and added actually what was a hairpin to the bottom for the butterflies tail.

Hi crafters!  I hope all the wonderful Mother's out there had an amazing Mother's Day as Father's Day comes right around the corner!  I created a elegant card for my dad he likes golds and black so I went for a very nice clean look on the card below.
I used papers from CutCardStock to make the card and some gold foil paper from Michael's.  I simply layered it over some black paper and added some fancy brads to bring all the colors together for a perfect Father's Day card using Dad's Day clear stamp which also comes with a digital die set to match.
My next card uses Prayer Words to do a bible journal page.  This sentiment is perfect "Reborn" which to me means strength, the ability to start a new beginning to have a fresh start on life and I am hoping that is what lies ahead.
I used Kuretake Zig Clean Color pens to color in the sentiment which works beautifully on bible pages.  I hope everyone has enjoyed my projects today and be sure to check out our challenges!
Bible Journaling is the new craze right now!! so be sure Join our Facebook group:
