May Arts 2nd Round - Submission

10:09 PM
Hi everyone and Happy Happy Friday.  Here is my final project for the May Arts Design Team call.  I really tried to think out the box on this one and hopefully everyone likes my project.  I made a keepsake bowl out of ribbon.  Except for the handle on the top of course.  You can make so many other things besides a bowl to - really super easy to do.

Supplies Needed/Used:
Ribbon - May Arts WF33
May Arts Burlap Trim
Modge Podge
Paintbrush
Handle

Step 1: Roll the ribbon you chose as shown.  It is best to use a thicker ribbon like grossgrain or maybe twill
Once your done this is what you end up.  How large you roll your ribbon will determine the size of your bowl

Step 2: Apply modge podge to the ribbon this will make the ribbon hard and allow for easy molding

Step 3: Start forming the bowl

It should start looking like this
Step 4: Apply the modge podge to the inside of the bowl to make it stiff
Once done this is what it looks like when its turned over - notice it looks like a bowl
 Inside the bowl
Step 5: Decorate and add a handle to your bowl

Inside of the bowl - perfect for your smaller embellishments
